From Delhi to Rishikesh: Rishikesh known as ‘The Yoga Capital of The World’ is a tehsil in Dehradun district of the Uttarakhand state, India. By Flight:

Jolly Grant airport (Dehradun) is the nearest airport to Rishikesh. It is approximately 35 km away from Rishikesh. Popular flight services such as Air India, Spice Jet and Jet Airways usually have daily flights from New Delhi to Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun.

Just like Delhi, there is a flight from Lucknow to Dehradun as well. Once you reach Jolly Grant, there are plenty of taxis available from Dehradun to Rishikesh just outside the airport. It will take you around one hour to reach Rishikesh from Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun.

From Delhi to Rishikesh By Road:

Rishikesh is a very popular destination so it has a good network of buses and connecting it with important places such as Delhi, Haridwar, Dehradun, Lucknow and Haldwani. You can find many regular and luxury buses from the Kashmere Gate ISBT in New Delhi each and every day.

You can also drive from Delhi to Rishikesh in your own vehicle via the National Highway 58. The highway remains in a good condition for most of the year. A drive from Delhi to Rishikesh would take about 6 to 7 hours in normal traffic conditions.

By Train:

One can also opt for a train to Rishikesh. Rishikesh Railway Station (Station Code: RKSH) or Rishikesh Junction connects through a branch line from Haridwar Railway Station.
