Fruit juices and jams, and Woolen garments from Uttarakhand like Pahadi topi, coat, jacket, sweater, and gloves are bought by many to resist the biting cold.
Grains and pulses from Uttarakhand like Mandua and Rajma of Uttarkashi are some of the food items that you must buy from here. Famous goods from other states include the Pashmina shawls from Jammu Kashmir, pickles from Rajasthan and Chikankari suit from Uttar Pradesh.
Every year many trade shows take place in Parade Ground, Dehradun. Regional artists from Uttarakhand are invited to perform for the audience. Famous Pahadi folk singers like Preetam Bhartwan and many others have graced the fair by their melodious presence.

The flavours of Garhwali and Kumaoni dishes will steal your heart. Other than this you can also try the chocolate and fruit paan, which makes its stellar appearance at the stall located on the entrance.

Trade Fair is held at Dehradun Parade Ground located in the city centre. Dehradun is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Punjab, Lucknow, Kanpur, Haridwar, Rishikesh etc. with a swift network of roads. Regular, Deluxe and Volvo buses run from Kashmere Gate, ISBT Delhi to Dehradun.
You can take the Vikram no. 5 (local auto) from ISBT Dehradun to reach here. Dehradun railway station at 2 km away is the nearest railhead and Jolly Grant airport at 28 km away is the closest airport from here. Taxis to Parade Ground are easily available from Jolly Grant airport.
