Bhowali is a scenic town in Nainital district of Uttarakhand state, India. Perched at an elevation of 1703 m above the sea level, it has evolved as one of the most popular hill stations of Uttarakhand over the years.

It is situated amidst the lush green and beautiful Kumaon Himalayas. What makes Bhowali more reachable is that it is only 11 kilometers away from Nainital and 9 kilometers from Bhimtal. So, you don’t have to visit it as a separate destination, while you are in Nainital you can have a drive to Bhowali.

Sanotorium of Bhowali:

The town has a Sanotorium. This was built during the British raj for people suffering from lung problems and tuberculosis.

Shyamkhet Tea Gardens:

The area is full of tea gardens named as Shyamkhet tea gardens. These offer quality tea that is exported to other states and countries. If you are a tea lover or a nature lover then this is the place to go.
