Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math is a famous Krishna Matha located in Dehradun. It is also famous as “Math Mandir” or “Krishna Mandir” among the local populace. Many people come here for worshipping Lord Krishna and for taking part in various religious programs held at the math mandir.

The Gaudiya Math in Dehradun showcases a traditional Indian temple architecture. The entire building of the temple is painted in rose pink colour, offering a soothing sensation like that of sandalwood.
The devotees have to take the stairs to reach the “garbhagriha” or the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The math has conical shaped domes, with Swastika sign flashing over the rooftop. A red flag can be seen raised at the temple, which gently sways with the gush of the wind.

Inside Gaudiya Math or Hare Krishna Mandir in Dehradun:
On stepping inside, one can see the idols of Lord Krishna and Radha present inside the temple. The temple also enshrines other stone idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, but a large portion of it is dedicated to Lord Krishna’s worship.
There is a hall, where bhajan and kirtans are held in which devotees along with the monks sing praises of Krishna Bhagwan.
The math also shelters the monks who have dedicated their life in the service and bhakti of the ever so beautiful Lord Krishna. The monks can be seen clad in saffron or white clothes wearing a chandan tilak on their forehead, throat, and earlobes.
Monks, as well as devotees of Lord Krishna, can be seen holding a mala in their hands which they use to chant “Japa” the Lord’s name.
Krishna Janmashtmi and Holi at Gaudiya Math in Dehradun:
Krishna Janmashtmi is celebrated with great fervour at Gaudiya Math in Dehradun. During Janmashtmi, the temple is festooned with marigold flowers and the idols of Radha Krishna are decked with jewels and fancy garments.
Holi is also celebrated with great joy at Gaudiya Math. The idols of Krishna and Radha are adorned with flowers, and the devotees play Holi by throwing flower petals at each other. A communal feast is also organised by the temple authorities during the birthday of Lord Krishna

Chaitanya Gaudiya Math is situated at DL road in Dehradun. It is approximately 3 km away from Dehradun’s Clock Tower. You can easily reach here by catching the local bus or taking the Vikram and E-rickshaws.
Dehradun railway station is the nearest railhead, which is around 5 km away from math mandir. While the nearest airport at Jolly Grant is located at a distance of 30 km away from here. The nearest cities namely Rishikesh and Haridwar are located at a distance of 48 km and 58 km respectively.
