Anandamayi Ashram is a spiritually uplifting place built in the memory of Sri Ma Anadamayi. She was born on April 30, 1896. Ma Anandamayi was a Bengoli mystic and an eminent spiritual personality hailed by many. When the venerated lady departed on August 27, 1982, a Samadhi was built to honour her peaceful existence.
The mortal remains of Ma Anandamayi are buried inside the Samadhi or tomb. The Samadhi of Maa Anandmayi is made up of white marble with an enclosed crypt. It is said that before passing away, Ma Anadamayi organized many ceremonies for world peace.

The ashram offers AC and Non AC rooms, the tariff of which starts from Rs 800 to Rs 400. Apart from this, there are multiple dormitories and rooms available for the guests. You can stay maximum for 3 days, which can be extended to 10 days if the ashram authorities allow it.
For foreign tourists, the ashram offers international center accommodation. Though it’s expensive but is fully furnished and clean.

Ma Anandamayi ashram is located on the serene banks of Ganga Canal in Kankhal area of Haridwar. If you are a devotee of Anandamayi, you’ll be blessed to see the Ati Rudra Yagnashala here. It is a sacred spot where the Ati Rudra Maha Yagna was performed in 1981, attended by many religious saints. Akhand Diya, a perpetual flame always lightens the place, offering a peaceful and divine feeling.
If you are looking for peace, you can sit under the Rudraksha tree, sprawling in the backyard of the ashram. You can also visit some of the nearby holy places like Sitala Temple, known as the birthplace of Sati and Daksha Prajapati Temple.

Anandamayi ashram located in Kankhal is around 5 km away from Har ki Pauri. It is located at a distance of 4 km from Haridwar Railway Station. One can easily access this place by taking the local bus or hiring a taxi from Haridwar.
The ashram is only ten minutes away from Har ki Pauri. Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport at 38 km away is the closest air connectivity from here.
