Gangolihat is a small hilly town situated in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India. Gangolihat is famous for its Shakti Peethas of Hat Kalika of goddess Kali. Gangolihat is a holy town. Haat Kalika Mandir:

Haat Kalika Mandir is a popular temple among devotees. This temple was selected by Adi Guru Sankaracharya to install Mahakali Shakti Peeth. People from all over the world come here for getting the blessings of Mata. The temple is popular throughout the country and basically among the Armed Forces of India.

Brief Information About Haat Kalika Temple:

The site of this temple is preserved by ASI (Archaeological Survey of India). The Haat Kalika Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva. During the festival of Navaratri, there is a large fair organized here where sacrifices and pujas are offered. Many devotees come from all over the country.

Patal Bhuvaneshwar:

It is a place 14 km from Gangolihat, famous for an ancient Temple of Goddess Kali-Mother. Here beautiful underground cave of Patal Bhuvaneshwar, the subterranean shrine of Lord Shiva is situated with sprawling interiors exist. Inside the cave, the limestone formations have taken shape of many Gods and Goddesses of Hinduism. The images of Ganesha, Shesh Nag, Garurh, Shivling are distinctly visible.

By Road

Tanakpur-Gangolihat and Haldwani-Gangolihat taxi and bus services are available on regular basis.

By Train

Nearest railway terminals are : Tanakpur and Kathgodam. Regular taxis and buses are available from here.

By Air

The closest airport is Naini Saini at Pithoragarh, but flights are not on a regular basis. Another option is to take flight from Delhi to Pantnagar and further drive to Haldwani. Then there are plenty of taxis and buses to Gangolihat.
