Birthi falls, located at a distance of 33 km from Munsiyari, is a massive cascading waterfall, falling from the height of 126 m. Birthi falls is a huge waterfall so it appears pretty clear from quite a distance in Pithoragarh district of state Uttarakhand. The waterfall is about 14 km from Tejam, located on Thal-Munsiyari road. Fresh atmosphere, cool breeze, lush greenery, and all natural environment are some key attractions of the waterfall region.
The waterfall is surrounded by dense forest, which adds charm to its beauty. Khalia Top, Milam Glacier, Kalamuni Top, Maheshwari Kund, Thamari Kund, Madkot, Thal, Berinag, and Ralam Glacier are some nearby places to explore. From the roadside, one has to trek to reach the bottom of Birthi waterfall. It takes nearly 15-20 minutes to reach the waterfall but it is worth one’s efforts.

The waterfall is at a distance of approximately 33 km from the popular hill station Munsiyari. Munsiyari serves as the base camp for many treks including Khaliya top trek. From Musiyari, one can take a bus, sharing-cabs of hire a cab to reach Birthi falls.
By Road
State-owned and private buses run from Delhi, Dehradun, Almora, Pithoragarh, and Haldwani to Munsiyari. However, one has to check the timings for buses. Since the journey to Munsiyari is very long, from Haldwani and Kathgodam, buses and taxis are available in the morning only.
By Train
Kathgodam (275 km) and Tanakpur (241 km) are the two options to reach Munsiyari via train. After reaching railway station, one has to get on the bus or book a taxi for further journey. The journey to Munsiyari is quite long, so it is good to break the journey into several stops.
By Air
Pantnagar airport is the nearest airport to Munsiyari, at a distance of 249 km. One can take buses and taxis from the airport to reach Haldwani. Naini Saini Airport in Pithoragarh is the other option but the flights are not regular. Haldwani is 285.3 km away from Munsiyari via NH309A.
