Bhowali is a scenic town in Nainital district of Uttarakhand state, India. Perched at an elevation of 1703 m above the sea level, it has evolved as one of the most popular hill stations of Uttarakhand over the years.

It is situated amidst the lush green and beautiful Kumaon Himalayas. What makes Bhowali more reachable is that it is only 11 kilometers away from Nainital and 9 kilometers from Bhimtal. The town has a Sanatorium. This was built during the British raj for people suffering from lung problems and tuberculosis.
